Holy Ice Cross (Ambridge, PA)

Click the link below to read an interesting article about a Holy Ice Cross from Ambridge, PA, that was in the Beaver County Times.

Rev. Mike Polosky, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ambridge, ordered an ice sculpture of the cross of Jesus to sit on the church lawn at Sixth Street and Melrose Avenue. The cross was blessed Wednesday night at a service for the Feast of Theophany.

Warrington's Cookie Walk

St. Anne's, Warrington, PA, Cookie Walk

On December 11 we held our annual "Cookie Walk". This is one of our most anticipated fundraisers by the community besides our pyrohy sales and bingo games. Thirty-five wonderful parishioner bakers worked diligently to produce over 40 varieties of Christmas cookies. They baked at home after a hard day at work while others took vacation days from work just to bake for St. Anne's, while Natalie Bunik, wife of Father Vasil Bunik, and her 4 helpers spent hours in the kitchen of the Activity Center baking much loved Ukrainian delicacies. Although the doors opened at 9am, customers began gathering at 8am. By the time the doors did open, the line ran from the front of the hall to the back with everyone anticipating their delicious purchases. Everything sold out within an hour at the delight of our coordinators and their helpers. See pictures and an article on the website, Patch.com.
