St. Nicholas Eparchy in Chicago is hosting fellow clergy
from across the eastern part of the country.
Guests are deacons and priests from the Archeparchy of Philadelphia and
the eparchies of Stamford and St. Josaphat in Parma –and their hierarchs.
On the agenda include:
Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:15pm the hierarchy and
clergy will visit with students of St. Nicholas Cathedral School, Chicago; at
2:45 the entourage will walk to the Ukrainian National Museum to view a special
exhibit honoring Metropolitan Sheptytsky, featuring historical items from
Ukraine. This will be followed by a
visit to Ss. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church.
At 4:00pm, there will be a tour and explanation of St.
Nicholas Cathedral, Chicago.
At 5:00pm there will be a Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas
Cathedral, Chicago. This is a unique
opportunity to pray with approximately 170 priests and deacons of the Ukrainian
Catholic Church all together in one place.
The Divine Liturgy will be sung in all its fullness by our clergymen. The celebrants will be: Metropolitan Stefan
and the eparchial bishops, and clergy. This is an opportunity to join in the
edifying prayer of so many united to our Heavenly Father through the one
priesthood of Jesus Christ, endowed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
